(More customer reviews)I have two labs (yellow and black). After many complaints from my neighbor about the barking I caved and got one to see how it would go. When I first put it on I saw how it actually worked. It is not harsh! it gives a few (2-3) warning beeps before it gives a small shock and then a higher one. if the dog barks once.. it beeps... if he stops for a little bit it will reset, if he/she continues it progesses through the discipline stages. But only so long before it starts over with the beeping.
I later found that the battery fell out and I couldnt find the cover... but I put it on him anyway and it took a while before he realized nothing would happen if he barked.. lol
For the price I think it's great! these products don't work for all dogs. But if you are going to try one to find out how your dog will respond I would recomend this one over a really pricey one.
