for the price it works as described and allows you to train your dogs to respond to the beep instead of just a shock.
The vibration mode was useless for my dog but the beep is perfect. We have a young very exciteable boxer/lab mix who loves to run off. He quickly learned that he needs to straighten up when he hears the beep. It only took a couple of mild shocks (I used same on myself before using on him) and now he only needs the beep to bring him back to behaving when he gets out of line.
