The dog wore the charm for less than a week before it broke - the metal snapped into two parts at the circular end of the quick release hook. I reattached the charm by the large ring to the dog's name,license,identity chip ring and no problems. The other tags are attached with a quick release hook that has been worn for several years without breaking. It is possible that the one we received was not typical of this product but be warned.
