(More customer reviews)This small-sized fawn-colored gentle leader collar is not only effective in controlling my dachshund-mix pup from barking and pulling on walks but it also blends in perfectly with his beige/yellow-lab type coloring. That's really nice because I didn't like how the blue one stood out a lot. I gave him lots of praise and treats on walks the first few days he had it on. I also give him a tiny treat every time I put it on and take it off; that way he builds a positive association with it. Now he doesn't even notice it anymore! (It's been a little over a week.) I even use it sometimes in the apartment since he has the tendency to bark at different noises--especially people knocking at my door. Now when I'm expecting anyone, I put the head collar on him before I open the door and it calms him right down and makes it much easier to control him. Or if he's barky while I watch TV, I put it on him and he just hangs out next to me, nice and calm. Thank you gentle leader!
