(More customer reviews)I have two Brittany's and as anyone who has this breed can tell you......they are stubborn. They're great hunters but at times want only want to do that which means running away while ignoring commands. I purchased this set from another vendor but if I had realized it was the same price off Amazon I would have ordered it here.
Pros:
Excellent Range

Fast recharge time of only 5 hours compared to 8-12 from the other guys
Confirmation beep on the remote for eyes free correction
5-7 Day Battery Life (terrific)
Receivers must be reprogrammed each time they are powered off. A plus when all collars look identical and you want dogs on a particular number.
Cons:
Remote Antenna had to be slightly modified to use. NIB the Remote would only work at 5-10 feet with fresh batteries.Other thoughts:
I read a review on this unit and noted the reviewer complained about this same model having antenna issues and after he removed the antenna the unit functioned as it should. I took this into account when I received the package and at first thought the unit was faulty as it would only respond once every ten or so commands I would issue. After placing two small silicone o-rings on remote than screwing the antenna in the remote and units all functioned as they should and with more than enough range than I was looking for. Basically if the antenna is screwed down properly, it will not work. By placing two silicone o-rings on the antenna it would keep the antenna from being screwed all the way down while still allowing it to make contact as it should. These are serious shock collars so try to keep the correction level appropriate for your dog. My extremely stubborn Brittany had no problem correcting the occasional run off.
Only other possible issue I see is the minimal warranty information but I hope to never have any issues. I wish there was an address or phone number included so at least end users could touch base with the company if questions arise. Typically this would not become part of my review BUT after purchasing the unit I found several complaints from end users who could not obtain any warranty for their collars. Would I recommend this......absolutely yes but make sure you take into account the antenna issue as I am not the only one who has experienced it with this model.
