The only issue if you care about these things is that it may be difficult to keep the white portions of the collar white. Our dog is indoor/outdoor and he's always trotting around, sleeping on the warm concrete or rolling in the grass, so it's more of a red, black and GRAY collar. The dirt doesn't really wash off during his baths, but I'm sure a periodic spin in the washing machine would do the trick.
