(More customer reviews)I didn't know about these collars until I recently adopted a young Boxer who had not been properly leash broken. She was sent home with me wearing one and I had every intention of switching to a metal choke chain. Because it is made of one inch wide material, it is more gentle but just as effective as a metal choke chain. It may not have the snap sound a metal chain produces but I'll trade snap for gentle any day. It's a perfect training collar for leash breaking and when combined with Premier's Proleash, it eliminates the need to wrap the lead around your hand to shorten up for training. (No more aching hands when your dog acts up.)I showed dogs for many years and I wish this collar had been around then. If you own a dog who constantly pulls on their collar and drags you about when you go for a walk, buy this collar. I highly recommend it and as a thank you, I'm sending three new ones to the rescue shelter where I adopted my new dog.
