(More customer reviews)We bought one of these from Sportsmans Warehouse for $20, thinking it was rather expensive, even though well made. We were ready to try anything! Our new dog is a stray German Shepard mix (weighing close to 100 lbs.) who found us. We didn't know his real name and couldn't find one he'd come to. He would answer to Buddy though, and he goes crazy for squirrels, so he became Buddy Squirrel. Walking him was a real chore, with his pulling on the leash like a draft horse. Whenever he saw a squirrel though, the real ride began. We were concerned that he's crush his windpipe hacking and coughing as he pulled against his collar. Training to heel, or even to sit was impossible. Slipping on the Mendota EZ Trainer we immediately noticed a difference. It's far more humane than the collar and leash we'd been using and his pulling has been reduced by more than half!
We now see hope that we'll be able to do some more serious training.
