(More customer reviews)I bought this replacement unit when my original box got zapped by a nearby lightning strike. Although I usually unplug the box from the AC during storms, I forgot to disconnect the outside fence line from the box. Lightning can get to it that way as well. This replacement works just as well as the original. It's a much better value than the more expensive fence systems. You'll want to test the collar battery regularly to make sure it's still working properly. It happened to ours and our dog accidentally charged through the fence line chasing a squirrel, then was too afraid to come back in the yard!
