(More customer reviews)I have golden retrievers, and one of them needed this. Badly. It has completely eliminated his barking, at least when I'm home and from what my neighbors have told me. Unlike the Cairn terrier in the other post, my golden has decided he's not taking ANY chances, so if the collar is on, he's quiet. I have no idea if the battery is dead, and I rarely attempt to refill it.
I'm guessing the success of this really depends on the dog, and how badly it feels the need to bark.
I hate to admit that I used the bark shock collar years ago on another dog, and, while it was effective, I felt it was cruel. I never feel guilty about using this one. In fact, it was funny to watch his reaction the first few times he got sprayed.
