- Beautiful. My family jokes that it's a "going out" collar.
- Easily adjustable.
- Lightweight.
- Highly reflective. Great for night walks.
- The 1" width means that if your dog pulls while wearing this collar the pressure on his neck will be spread out over a wider surface. May therefore be more comfortable and lessen the odds of your dog making choking sounds. (Your best bet is training your dog to walk on a loose leash or in a heel position).
Cons:
- Light colour gets dirty (and stains) easily.
- Reflective strip looks darker in person than it does in the picture.
- I've found that if a dog pulls on the leash the collar will give and loosen. This could be problematic if your dog is prone to slipping from his/her collar.
- Repetitive rubbing can rub the reflective strip off. This can happen if your dog scratches at his/her collar a lot. This can also happen if your dog pulls and loosens the collar or while playing rough with another dog.
- The snap can break, setting your dog free, if your dog pulls excessively. This happened to me once when my dog did spontaneous "zoomies"--where the dog zooms around the area at top speeds--on the leash. (Your best bet is to train your dog to walk on a loose leash or in a heel position. And perhaps discourage on-leash "zoomies").
