(More customer reviews)I've had this collar for 3 months and I want to throw it away. Maybe it works for other dogs, I don't know, but it certainly doesn't work for my beagle. I read the reviews for it on the petsmart website and it seemed to get good reviews, but for my dog, I have to disagree. The collar is supposed to give a warning zap, and then if the dog continues to bark, it gives him a stronger zap, but half the time it doesn't zap him at all (and that's with a new battery so I know it isn't the battery). Even after it has given him a strong zap, he waits a second and keeps on barking. He has learned nothing from this collar. The only thing he has received is sore spots on his neck from the prongs rubbing back and forth. We've tried loosening it, making a little tighter so it doesn't move around or rub, taking it off after a couple hours use, but he still gets sores.
Personally, I'm going to invest in a collar that is more expensive, has no prongs, and has a remote so that I can train him not to bark as well as correct naughty behavior. To add to that, I want something that is rechargeable! With this product constantly needing new batteries at $7- $8 bucks a pop, this product is not the deal I thought I was getting!
