(More customer reviews)I looked at this system and the Garmin Astro because I wanted a location system that I didn't have to pay monthly cell fees and these were the only two that work without the cellular service. I didn't like the external whip antenna on the Garmin collar so I purchased the Roameo. It looks like their antenna is hidden in the collar. As advertised, the system worked right out of the box--just turned on the receiver and put the collar on the dog. Collar was cool because it automatically turns on when it's latched together so you will never forget to turn it on. Display is very bright even in the sunlight. GPS dialed in quickly and with good accuracy. I have a small dog (18lbs) and the collar was a little large by the battery but overall not bad. I put the collar on my dog in the morning when she goes outside but I don't bother turning on the receiver unless I can't see her. Then I turn on the receiver and it finds her right away.
