I got the size 10 (5/16" width in silver) for my Female cat. She is now almost 4 years old and about 11-12 lbs and it fits her on the smallest hole with the perfect amount of space left so that she doesn't feel constricted by it (I can fit 2 fingers under the collar), yet it won't easily slide off of her either.
She has not pulled it off yet, and she hasn't even tried to as far as I know... This is what she ALWAYS does with the elastic/stretch collars I have put on her in the past.
This is alright for her as she is indoor only and the collar is more for decoration and only worn at times (not everyday but several times a week for half the day - at least - each time). You might not want it for outdoor cats as it could get caught on things and will not easily pull off of them, but this is great for when that is not much of a concern.
The jewels on it have not loosened nor fallen off at all in the 6 months that we have had it (again, not everyday use but enough). She handles wearing it very well (almost like it is not even there) and it makes her look like a queen (it's her crown or tiara really).
At half the cost of other cheap basic collars, it seems of great construction and quality and looks great and the most important part, is she wears it and enjoys it. Never before have I seen her enjoy something around her neck or body except for this!
