(More customer reviews)My 6 yr old Lab Molly had a tumor removed from her side. She came home from the vet with a huge lampshade which proceeded to make her and our family miserable. Not only couldn't she figure out how to walk up the stairs, she kept running into our legs. The hard edge of the Elizabethan cone whacked up against our shins. I went to a warehouse pet supply store and bought an inflatable collar. I think Molly was more comfortable but after two days, the inflatable collar punctured somehow when she was in the yard. A friend finally recommended BiteNot and I'm so happy she did. The collar is a huge improvement over the others. Molly was much happier, she could move around easily but it still kept her from biting her stitches. I think it's a great product. I really recommend it.

Doggles Step In Dog Harness Review

(More customer reviews)I picked this up at a local pet store, I really liked the design of it and it looks very secure. It fit my dog like a charm. Now for why I had to give a a 2 star. I took my dog a 70lb Catahoula to try it out and get him out for a walk around the lake. Big mistake there were ducks at the lake we went to and my dog has a obsession with any type of bird. As soon as I saw them I knew what was going to happen so I dug my feet in and waited for the pull. I the pull wasn't as bad as I thought it would be since one of the medal parts of the harness snapped with very little trouble. I am not sure if I just happened to get a faulty made one or if they all are like this, but needless to say as much as I like the design I won't be going back for a second one. Hopefully the pet store will be nice enough to let me return it. Would most likely work for smaller dogs or dogs who don't pull, but for my dog it not a good choice.

(More customer reviews)We love this collar! Max, our dalmatian, looks great in it! The pattern is great and since it is dark, it hides dirt well. The buckle is cool and very strong. This collar is made really well. Everyone at the dog run comments on it. Wonderdog seems to really have their act together. They ship quick - I think we received the collar in about 3 days from ordering it. We've bought other collars and leashes from other companies on here, but Wonderdog blows them out of the water. Definitely worth it!

Doggles Dog Backpack Review

(More customer reviews)Doggles makes two different backpacks--Standard and Extreme. BOTH STYLES OF BACKPACK ARE SOLD ON THIS SAME PAGE--clearly an error on Amazon's part. The red is Standard. The blue is Extreme. The grey pack shown is the Extreme; however, Doggles also sells the Standard in grey (and it sounds like that's what a previous reviewer received). I would be cautious about ordering the grey because you may not get the pack you're expecting. It appears that all of the previous reviews are for the Standard pack. My review is for the BLUE Doggles EXTREME OUTDOOR GEAR EX PACK.
My puppy is currently 17 pounds with 12" neck and 19" girth. I bought the pack in size XS. It fits great with lots of room to grow. There are photos of Barney wearing the pack in the customer photos. I bought this pack just to give my dog a little extra workout on walks and hikes. He is very high energy, so it takes a lot to wear him out. Given that I bought an XS, I wasn't expecting Barney to help carry much gear on hikes, but I was very surprised at how much can fit in the bags. For size reference, I can easily fit 4 tennis balls in each side of the XS size pack (5 fit, but not comfortably).
The Extreme pack is an excellent quality product. It is made from durable rip-stop nylon, all seams are reinforced and covered, and the pack is full of great features. There is padding in the back and under both buckles. A mesh fabric lining and an opening in the back under the handle are great for breathability and ventilation. The zippers are water resistant--a feature I don't need and it makes them a little tougher to open and close, but they are durable and usable. The assist handle, metal leash ring, straps, and buckles are all very strong. All of the trim on the sides and back are light reflective for night visibility. And the biggest plus is that the Doggles pack comes in smaller sizes than most packs--small dogs need backpacks, too! I can't speak for the Standard pack, but the Extreme Outdoor Gear EX Pack definitely gets 4 paws up for both quality and price.

(More customer reviews)This is my second leash of this model; my first one wore out after 7 years (inner spring failed). My sole complaint about this model is that it is a bit too small to fit my hand in comfortably all the time, and I have small hands. In the winter, I can only get a couple of fingers through when wearing any gloves.
Nevertheless, for walking my 16-lb. Peke at the same time as my 60-lb. Chow Chow, it's ideal. It gives room for each dog to keep its own pace, but doesn't let my Peke get so far away that I can't rein him in when he gets too feisty with other dogs. The tape is far less likely to burn skin (cord Flexis have scarred me more than once, and more often they belong to others!) and if the mechanism on the last one failed after 7 years of 3-4 walks/day, then I'd say it held up well.

Single Thick Nylon Deluxe Dog Collar, 3/8" x 10" Blue Review

(More customer reviews)These collars are made two full inches too short. The 10", which I bought, measure only 8 inches from the mid-buckle clasp to the furthest hole. I'm using these as ID tag straps for equipment and luggage, and I'm actually happy that they are much shorter than comparable pet collars. I can't find 8" pet collars anymore. They are also somewhat defective because the stitched end that wraps around the buckle is wrapped the opposite way most "normal" pet collars are done, with the raw side on the outside of the collar. Again, compared with the other pet collars I've purchased, the raw side is so rough that you wouldn't actually want it rubbing against your pet's neck. But it is less attractive this way, to be sure, though it won't affect the performance of the collar. The blue is a nice intense sapphire blue, and the quality of the strap and buckle are otherwise fine.

I got the size 10 (5/16" width in silver) for my Female cat. She is now almost 4 years old and about 11-12 lbs and it fits her on the smallest hole with the perfect amount of space left so that she doesn't feel constricted by it (I can fit 2 fingers under the collar), yet it won't easily slide off of her either.
She has not pulled it off yet, and she hasn't even tried to as far as I know... This is what she ALWAYS does with the elastic/stretch collars I have put on her in the past.
This is alright for her as she is indoor only and the collar is more for decoration and only worn at times (not everyday but several times a week for half the day - at least - each time). You might not want it for outdoor cats as it could get caught on things and will not easily pull off of them, but this is great for when that is not much of a concern.
The jewels on it have not loosened nor fallen off at all in the 6 months that we have had it (again, not everyday use but enough). She handles wearing it very well (almost like it is not even there) and it makes her look like a queen (it's her crown or tiara really).
At half the cost of other cheap basic collars, it seems of great construction and quality and looks great and the most important part, is she wears it and enjoys it. Never before have I seen her enjoy something around her neck or body except for this!

Gentle Leader Metal Buckle Clamshell, Medium, Royal Review

If you have never used the Gentle Leader, these are the best way we have ever found to walk and guide our large dogs in busy cities.

SENSE-ation No-Pull Dog Harness - Large/Wide (Black) Review

(More customer reviews)I have a rambunctious 86 pound Rottweiller pup who is not at all deterred from pulling with a regular collar. This harness was recommended by a behavior specialist as the best one on the market. I can tell you my dog is a different animal with the harness on. He walks politely by my side, I only need a firm but gentle reminder to keep him from pulling and walks are pleasant. If he really decides to push it, I can simply lift his front end off the ground by grabbing the top of the harness. It is pain free for him, but an effective way to control him when excitement gets to be too much for his young mind to handle. I have only had to do it a couple of times and now he knows I can control him so he pretty much stops when I verbally warn him. The harness comes with excellent diagrams for proper fit, so there is no guessing. It does take a little trial and error because things shift as you walk, but once you get the good fit, there is no more adjusting except for puppy growth. My only problem is that, for my dog at least, if I forget and leave it on him, he eats it off. This is the third one I have purchased due to that. It is also not easy to find in my area. Our local emergency vet and the Humane Society sell them, but the vet at least does not always have all sizes in stock. I have not checked the Humane Society as it is far away. I'm thankful for ordering online.
