(More customer reviews)My 12.5 year old Dobie must wear an Elizabethan collar ... otherwise she'll continue to lick and lick at her hindquarter. The licking causes serious skin aggravation resulting in the need for antibiotics. This e-collar is quite successful at preventing our dog from getting at the problem area on her hindquarter. She is very rough on the collar, bumping into things as she goes and it has numerous tears in it which I've patched with packing tape. Other than the tearing, the dog has entirely accepted the collar. I just thought that, as it is a Kong product, it would be more heavy duty and durable.
