(More customer reviews)We have been very pleased with the Petsafe Venture Series LONG DISTANCE trainer. Prior to purchasing it, we borrowed several different training collars from friends and this is by far the best value for the money! In fact, it responds just a well as a system that is twice its price. It is actually better because the collar is so much lighter! I have been surprised that I can leave the collar turned on all the time and only have to recharge it once a week. The remote has a auto off/on so I haven't had to recharge it at all yet (one month). Note: My dog doesn't need continual correction so you might have to charge yours more often. The "boost" button comes in handy when our dog is heading for a neighbor's cat. Please remember with any system you buy take at least 2 days to "dummy" train your dog--they feel the collar on them and they see you pushing buttons (no batteries) but they receive no negative correction. If you fail to do this they will only obey when you have the remote with you. The 1000 yard range is wonderful. I have never written a review before, but I really wanted to recommend this product.
